One of the biggest advantages I’ve found with AI agents is emotional neutrality.

I can pivot, change tasks, or scrap an idea halfway through without worrying about hurting someone’s feelings.

In human teams, even when there are valid reasons to change direction, frustration is normal.
Telling someone to drop work they spent hours on is always a tough conversation.

With agents, if I have a good reason, I call the shot and move on.

That speed is underrated.

Why this helps

• Lower friction for experimentation
• Easier to kill weak ideas early

The trade-off

• Every redo costs tokens
• Constant undo/rework gets expensive
• Too many pivots can hide weak planning

So this is not a free pass to be chaotic.

My current rule: pivot quickly when new information is real, not just when I feel uncertain.

With people, empathy matters.
With agents, clarity matters.

Using both well is probably the real skill.
